AUTO BODY REPAIR FAQs
If the damage your vehicle has incurred is greater than the worth of your car, Benny’s Auto Body Repair can help you in contacting and negotiating with your insurance company in order to reach a settlement that will be acceptable to you and to them. We can then arrange for your vehicle to be picked up by a salvage company who may be able to offer you an additional sum for the purchase of your vehicle for whatever parts and pieces they can use it for.
At Benny’s Auto Body Repair we believe in honesty, and the honest answer to that question is “No.” Your auto insurance is a contract between you and your insurance company and requires that you pay a specific amount if you are involved in an accident. While we understand that it may be difficult to come up with the money for the deductible, imagine how much harder it would be if you didn’t have insurance at all!
What we CAN do is to help you in reducing the total cost of repairing your vehicle by providing you with the most cost effective options you have to choose from in repairing or replacing the various parts of your car that need work.
There is no cut and dried answer to that question. The time it will take to do the repairs is going to vary from vehicle to vehicle depending on the extent of the damage, the make and model of the car as well as the availability of the parts and the extent of our present workload. We will do our best to ensure that your vehicle is fixed and back on the road as soon as possible, but we cannot offer any guarantees as to time lines.
Every car carries a paint code that specifies what the exact color of your car is and it is this code that is used by the shop in order to mix the base and top coats of your cars paint job in order to come as close as possible to an exact match. Depending on the exact shade of your vehicle and any elemental discolorations that have occurred over time, it may be easy or quite difficult depending on the specifics of your vehicle’s paint job.
At Benny’s Auto Body Repair our estimates are free of charge. We do not require an appointment for an estimate, but they are recommended, especially if the damage on your vehicle is extensive. If you arrive at our shop and we are in the middle of a job your estimate may have to wait until we are finished (which is another reason that appointments are recommended). But provided that we have the time (or that you have scheduled an appointment and that your damage is not too extensive) the estimate should not take longer than 20 minutes to half an hour.
